We are in the studio, I tell the model to wear a tie and a fake mustache and strike a pose. 

She feels more powerful, 
She feels more respected, 
She can impose, she can judge, she feels invincible, untouchable.

Then she is angry. 

The tie doesn't have superpowers.

It is society that has had a destructive superpower for too long.

The Tie photo project, created spontaneously in the studio during a photo session, shows how society and its built-in machismo has shaped the psyche of many people. The model, wearing a tie that has who knows what superpowers, begins to feel more confident, stronger, more powerful, invincible. I'd like to say these are ironic, organized photos, but unfortunately it's a true story that seems insignificant, but reflects a reality we live in, where even today many women feel inferior.
